The GWS 121400 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding metal removal and finishing operations in CNC machining environments. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 7/8 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in high-load applications. With 5 flutes and a variable helix and variable index geometry, this end mill is engineered to minimize chatter and improve surface finish across a range of ferrous and exotic workpiece materials. It weighs 0.08 pounds and is intended for use in professional machining centers with end mill toolholders.
This end mill is suited for both roughing and finishing passes on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The Series 1035 designation places it within a short-length, straight-shank product family optimized for rigidity in tight setups. The 3/4 inch shank diameter with an h6 tolerance provides a secure, accurate fit in standard end mill toolholders. It is a single-end, center-cutting design, meaning it can be used for plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling operations.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance fits collet chucks and shrink-fit holders sized for 3/4 inch shanks.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a safe, locked-out state per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Verify toolholder runout and shank seating before operation. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut. Inspect the corner radius and flute edges for wear or chipping before each use, as carbide end mills in hard-material applications are susceptible to edge micro-fracture under excessive load.
