The GWS 120945 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. With a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) mill diameter and a 0.0050 inch corner radius, this single-end tool produces accurate profiles while reducing stress concentrations at part corners. The 5-flute geometry balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality, making it suitable for both roughing and finishing passes. A 1/2 inch length of cut and 1-1/2 inch overall length keep the tool rigid in tight-tolerance setups. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is rated for use in steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, hard materials, and stainless steel. Its submicron carbide substrate and variable helix and variable index geometry help suppress chatter and improve tool life in difficult-to-machine alloys. The straight cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance is compatible with standard end mill toolholders. The Series 1035 designation places it in a long-length product family suited for deep-pocket and extended-reach milling where additional flute length is required.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Secondary workpiece material is stainless steel. Shank diameter tolerance is h6, compatible with precision collet chucks and hydraulic toolholders sized for 1/8 inch shanks.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle lock is engaged before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank to the full recommended gauge length in the toolholder and torque retention screws or collet nuts per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before committing to a production cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear on small-diameter carbide tools.
