The GWS 119338 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding production environments. Built with a 0.5 inch diameter, a 0.015 inch corner radius, and 4 flutes, this single-end tool handles both roughing and finishing operations in one setup. The submicron carbide grade and right-hand spiral flute geometry deliver clean material removal with consistent edge retention. At 3 inches overall length with a 0.5 inch straight-cylindrical shank and a 0.345 inch length of cut, this end mill fits standard end mill toolholders and suits applications where tight tolerances and surface quality matter. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole.
This end mill is intended for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is suited to CNC milling operations in job shops and production facilities where a single tool must transition between roughing passes and finish cuts. The short length type and variable index and variable helix geometry reduce chatter and harmonics during aggressive cuts, making it a practical choice for machinists working in difficult-to-machine alloy families. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC machining center setups.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Secondary workpiece material is stainless steel. UNSPSC code 27112803.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down the spindle and confirm zero-speed before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify holder bore cleanliness and shank seating before torquing the collet or set screw to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm correct cutting direction and spindle rotation match the right-hand flute orientation before starting a program.
