The GUHRING 9199590158700 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding material applications. With a 0.625-inch cutting diameter, 1.25-inch length of cut, and 4 helical flutes, this single-end tool delivers precise material removal in ferrous metals, hard materials, and exotic alloys. The FIREX multi-layer coating enhances heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in aggressive cutting conditions. A variable helix design at 35 and 38 degrees reduces harmonic vibration during cutting, improving surface finish and chip evacuation. This end mill is suited for use by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC milling operations where tight tolerances and surface integrity are required.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills working with cast iron (K), stainless steel (M), steel (P), and superalloys (S), as well as secondary hard material applications (H). The standard-length configuration and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with common ER and hydraulic toolholders. It is well suited to slot milling, profiling, and peripheral milling operations where a right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are required.
Designed for use with workpiece materials designated under codes K, M, P, S, and H, covering cast iron, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steels, superalloys, and hard materials. Part of the Guhring Series 19959. The straight cylindrical shank at 0.625 inches with h6 tolerance is compatible with standard collet, hydraulic, and shrink-fit toolholders accepting 5/8-inch shank end mills.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a calibrated toolholder to the manufacturer-specified pull-out depth before beginning a cut. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to protect the cutting edge and maintain dimensional accuracy. Do not exceed the rated length of cut and avoid side loads beyond the tool geometry parameters, as solid carbide is rigid but brittle under excessive deflection.
