The GUHRING 9199560095200 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 2-1/2 inch overall length with a straight cylindrical 3/8 inch shank. The four-flute, helical configuration with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. The FIREX coating provides elevated heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive and hard-material applications. This is a center-cutting design, allowing plunge cuts as well as conventional peripheral milling. Installation and operation are handled by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop settings.
This end mill is suited for milling cast iron, stainless steel, and steel workpieces, corresponding to ISO material codes P, M, and K. Secondary applications include non-ferrous and superalloy materials (codes N and S). It is designed for use in standard CNC machining centers and manual mills where a 3/8 inch straight shank toolholder or collet is available. The single-end configuration and standard-length geometry make it appropriate for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations where rigidity and finish quality are priorities.
Designed for use in toolholders and collets accepting a 3/8 inch straight cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece compatibility includes cast iron (K), stainless steel (M), and steel (P), with secondary compatibility for non-ferrous (N) and superalloy (S) materials per ISO designations. Part of the GUHRING Series 19956.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before starting cuts, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a 4-flute carbide tool and affect surface finish.
