The GUHRING 9085210070000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in difficult-to-machine materials. Built to Series 8521 standards, it features a 7.00 mm cutting diameter, a 140-degree HF point angle, and a web-thinned tip geometry that promotes self-centering entry without a center punch. Coolant-through capability delivers cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge, extending tool life and improving chip evacuation in deep-hole applications. The 2-flute spiral design and right-hand cutting direction suit most CNC machining centers and drill presses configured for conventional rotation.
This drill is rated for titanium alloy as its primary workpiece material, placing it in demanding aerospace, medical device, and precision manufacturing environments. Its 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 42.50 mm make it well suited for through-hole and blind-hole operations where tool rigidity and thermal management are critical. The straight-cylindrical shank, ground to an 8.00 mm diameter with an m7 tolerance, seats securely in standard collet chucks or hydraulic toolholders. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production facilities are the primary users of this drill.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use drill conforming to DIN 6535 and DIN 6537 L specifications; compatible with any spindle or toolholder accepting an 8.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are clean and free of runout before seating the shank, as carbide is brittle and sensitive to side-loading. Verify that the coolant-through system is active before initiating the cut to prevent thermal shock to the cutting edge. Do not use this drill in hand-held or low-speed drilling applications where RPM and feed rate cannot be precisely controlled.
