The GUHRING 9085210060000 is a jobber length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Built from solid carbide with a nano-SI coating, it delivers extended tool life and heat resistance in applications where standard HSS tooling falls short. The 140-degree split point promotes self-centering entry and reduces walking on hard surfaces. With an overall length of 3.228 inches (82 mm) and a flute length of 1.732 inches (44 mm), this bit fits standard drill chucks and CNC machining centers. It is suited for machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and production drilling operations requiring consistent hole quality in difficult alloys.
This drill bit is designed for primary use in titanium alloy workpieces and similar high-strength materials classified under material codes P and S. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports a maximum drilling depth of 1.378 inches (35 mm). Coolant-through capability makes it compatible with through-spindle coolant systems, helping flush chips and manage heat at depth. It is a strong fit for aerospace, medical device, and precision manufacturing environments where titanium and stainless-grade materials are common.
Designed as a high-performance jobber length drill for titanium alloy and similar hard materials (material codes P and S); fits standard 6 mm straight-cylindrical chuck and collet systems on CNC machining centers and drill presses.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out. Ensure the straight-cylindrical shank is fully seated and clamped in a compatible collet or chuck before operation. When using coolant-through capability, verify spindle coolant pressure and flow are set per the machine tool manufacturers recommendations before running at depth. Inspect the drill point for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide tooling can fracture if run with a damaged cutting edge.
