The GUHRING 9085110135000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for demanding metalcutting applications in stainless steel and high-temperature alloys. It carries a 13.50 mm cutting diameter and features a 140-degree facet point that promotes self-centering entry without a center punch. The nano-A multi-layer proprietary coating reduces friction and extends tool life in tough, work-hardening materials. With an overall length of 124.00 mm and a flute length of 77.00 mm, this Series 8511 drill delivers a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio suited to moderate-depth holes in hard-to-machine workpiece materials. It is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual drilling equipment.
This drill is a primary choice for shops processing stainless steel grades and nickel-based or titanium high-temperature alloys where heat buildup and work-hardening are the main failure drivers. The right-hand, regular spiral flute geometry promotes chip evacuation in these stringy, tough materials. Coolant-through capability allows cutting fluid to be delivered directly to the cutting edge, further controlling heat and extending tool life. The straight cylindrical shank with a 14 mm shank diameter is compatible with standard drill chucks and hydraulic or shrink-fit toolholders sized for that bore. The drill conforms to DIN 6535 and DIN 6537 L standards.
Designed for use in stainless steel and high-temperature alloy workpieces. Fits standard drill chucks and hydraulic or shrink-fit toolholders with a 14 mm bore. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual drilling setups that support coolant-through tooling. Drill bit diameter tolerance is m7 per DIN specification designation.
Installation and use of this tooling should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with carbide drill handling. Carbide is brittle - avoid dropping or impacting the cutting edges against hard surfaces during setup. Confirm the toolholder bore and clamping mechanism match the 14 mm straight shank before securing the tool. When coolant-through capability is used, verify that the spindle and toolholder support through-spindle coolant delivery and that the coolant pressure is appropriate for the depth and material being drilled.
