The GUHRING 9085110065000 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in titanium alloys and other demanding workpiece materials. It carries a nano-A coating for improved wear resistance and reduced friction at the cutting edge. The bit measures 6.5 mm in diameter with an overall length of 91 mm (3.58 inches) and a flute length of 53 mm (2.09 inches). The 140-degree VA point is web-thinned for self-centering entry without a pilot hole, reducing walking and improving positional accuracy. Coolant-through capability allows internal coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone, extending tool life in deep-hole applications. Licensed HVAC, machining, and general metalworking professionals install this bit in CNC machining centers and precision drill presses.
This drill bit is designed for use in titanium alloy (material code M and S) and similarly hard-to-machine materials where tool longevity and dimensional accuracy are critical. It conforms to DIN 6537 L and DIN 6535 standards, making it a direct fit for tool holders and spindles dimensioned to those specifications. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral geometry are well suited to production drilling environments where chip evacuation and consistent hole geometry are priorities. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 8 mm in diameter and 36 mm in length, compatible with standard collet and hydraulic chuck systems.
Designed for use in titanium alloy workpieces (ISO material codes M and S) and rated for high-performance drilling per DIN 6537 L. Compatible with 8 mm straight-cylindrical collet chucks and hydraulic tool holders meeting DIN 6535 standards. No additional specific model compatibility was provided in the product data.
Installation and operation of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual drill press setups. Ensure the spindle and tool holder are fully powered down and locked out before inserting or removing the bit. Verify collet runout is within acceptable tolerance before use, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on carbide tooling. Internal coolant lines should be flushed and confirmed clear before engaging coolant-through operation.
