The GUHRING 9085110041000 is a solid carbide jobber-length twist drill designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Built to DIN 6537 L and DIN 6535 standards, it measures 4.10 mm (0.1614 inches) in diameter with a 140-degree VA point and a nano-A coating that reduces friction and extends tool life. The drill features a web-thinned, tapered web for improved self-centering entry, making it well-suited for precision production drilling. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in manufacturing and metalworking environments.
This drill is engineered for titanium alloy and other high-strength workpiece materials classified under material group M and S per ISO designation. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and coolant-through design support deep-hole chip evacuation in tight-tolerance machining operations. It carries a straight-cylindrical shank with a 6.00 mm (0.2362 inch) shank diameter, making it compatible with standard collet and drill chuck toolholding systems commonly used in CNC machining centers and drill presses. Typical applications include aerospace component drilling, precision fixture work, and structural metalwork where hole quality and tool longevity are critical.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and other machine tool setups equipped with collet chucks or drill chucks accepting a 6.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material compatibility is titanium alloy and similar high-strength alloys in ISO material groups M and S.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with carbide tooling requirements. Secure the shank fully in a properly sized collet or chuck and verify runout before cutting. Carbide drills are brittle compared to HSS tooling; avoid side-loading, interrupted cuts without appropriate feed adjustments, or hand-feeding on manual machines without controlled feed rates. Activate coolant flow before engaging the workpiece when using the through-coolant feature.
