The GUHRING 9085100047600 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in titanium alloy and other demanding workpiece materials. Built to Series 8510 and conforming to DIN 6537 K, it features a 140-degree split point with VA point geometry and web thinning to reduce entry thrust and improve hole accuracy. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 6.00 millimeters in diameter and seats securely in standard chucks or collets. Coolant-through capability supports effective chip evacuation and heat management during deep-hole operations. This bit is sized at 3/16 inch (0.1874 inches) diameter and carries a m7 diameter tolerance, making it appropriate for precision toolroom and production machining work.
The 9085100047600 is suited for aerospace, medical, and precision manufacturing environments where titanium alloy and similarly hard materials are machined. Its screw machine length body — with an overall length of 66.00 millimeters and a flute length of 28.00 millimeters — fits standard machining center setups, CNC drill presses, and screw machine turrets with minimal overhang. The 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports drilling to a maximum depth of 0.821 inches (20.86 millimeters). Right-hand cutting direction and regular spiral flute geometry are standard for this configuration.
Designed as a high-performance replacement drill bit for screw machine and CNC machining setups using 3/16 inch diameter tooling, particularly where titanium alloy or similar hard materials are the primary workpiece. Conforms to DIN 6537 K and Series 8510 specifications.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine powered down and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet or drill chuck to the torque specified by the toolholder manufacturer. Verify coolant-through lines are connected and flow is confirmed before beginning deep-hole cycles. Inspect the drill point for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide tooling can fail suddenly when compromised.
