The GUHRING 9069870127060 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built to Series 6987 specifications, it features a 1/2-inch mill diameter, five helical flutes with a medium-high helix angle of 38 degrees, and a 0.06-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge. The nano-A coating improves wear resistance and surface lubricity for extended tool life in ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. This single-end tool is suited for both roughing and finishing operations and is held in standard end mill holders via a Weldon flat shank.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where ferrous and hard materials are processed. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Secondary applications extend to non-ferrous metals and hard materials. The long-length flute geometry and right-hand cutting and flute direction make it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and contouring passes where corner integrity and tool rigidity are priorities. It is installed using standard end mill holders compatible with a 1/2-inch Weldon flat shank.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders accepting a 1/2-inch Weldon flat shank. Shank diameter tolerance is h6 and mill diameter tolerance is h10. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, non-ferrous metals, and hard materials per material codes P, M, K, S, N, and H.
Installation is performed by machinists using a compatible end mill holder torqued to the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify spindle and holder runout before seating the tool, as excess runout accelerates flute wear on carbide tooling. Power down and lock out the machine before tool changes per standard shop lockout/tagout procedures. Do not use this tool in applications requiring center-cutting entry, as this end mill is not center-cutting.
