The GUHRING 9069860063520 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Built to Series 6986 specifications, it features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, five helical flutes, and a 0.02 inch corner radius that extends tool life and reduces chipping at the cutting edge. The nano-A coating provides enhanced wear resistance and thermal stability during dry or wet cutting operations. This is a single-end tool with a right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute direction. It is sized for use with standard end mill holders and suits both roughing and finishing passes on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills where close-tolerance contouring and peripheral milling are required. The 0.02 inch corner radius makes it appropriate for parts that require a small but defined blend radius at the bottom of a pocket or shoulder. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Secondary applications cover non-ferrous metals and hard materials. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in end mill holders without adapters. This tool is typically installed and used by machinist tradespeople and CNC setup technicians in job shops, production facilities, and maintenance machine shops.
Designed for use with end mill holders. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, non-ferrous metals, and hard materials. UNSPSC Code: 27112803.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Before mounting or changing tooling, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state. Seat the shank fully into the end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism according to the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on carbide tooling.
