Product Description

The GUHRING 9068720031700 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. At 1/8 inch in diameter with a 1/4-inch length of cut and 2-inch overall length, this single-end tool features three flutes with a variable helix geometry to reduce chatter and improve surface finish. The nano-Si TiAlSiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and exotic materials. Centercutting capability allows the tool to plunge directly into workpiece material. Installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.

This end mill is suited for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium as primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability in non-ferrous metals. Its extended reach configuration, 3/4-inch reach length, and 0.117-inch neck diameter make it well suited for slotting, shouldering, ramp-down entry, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging and recessing operations. The 45-degree chamfer angle at 0.002-inch chamfer width delivers consistent edge-breaking and deburring on finish passes.
