The GUHRING 9068030080000 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. With an 8 mm cutting diameter and a 12 mm length of cut, this single-end tool is built for both roughing and finishing operations. The variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic vibration during cuts, improving surface finish and tool life. A nano-Si (silicon nitride) coating provides enhanced hardness and thermal resistance, making this end mill effective across a broad range of workpiece materials. Four right-hand spiral flutes with a centercutting design allow plunge entry and chip evacuation in tight pockets.
This end mill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium as primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability in non-ferrous metals. The short flute length type and extended reach configuration make it a practical choice for mold, die, and general precision component work on CNC machining centers. It is intended for use with standard end mill holders and is compatible with straight-cylindrical shank retention systems. The 8 mm straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance ensures accurate seating in collet and hydraulic holders.
Designed for use with end mill holders accepting an 8 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), and superalloys and titanium (S). Secondary application covers non-ferrous metals (N).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the end mill. Follow the tool holder manufacturer's torque specifications when tightening set screws or collet nuts. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before production cutting to protect both the tool and workpiece.
