The GUHRING 9064120020000 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for high-precision drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built to Series 6412 specifications, this drill features a 135-degree faceted point angle, web-thinned geometry, and a TiAlN coating that extends tool life under heat and abrasion. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 4 mm in diameter, and the overall length is 70 mm (approximately 2.756 inches). Through-coolant capability allows cutting fluid to reach the tip directly, supporting chip evacuation and thermal control during deep hole operations. The drill is ground from submicron-grade carbide stock and held to an h7 diameter tolerance, making it suitable for precision-fit bore work.
This drill bit is intended for use in CNC machining centers and precision drilling operations where tight tolerances and controlled surface finish are required. It is rated for primary use in cast iron, stainless steel, and steel (ISO material codes K, M, and P). Secondary workpiece materials include aluminum and titanium alloys (ISO codes N and S). The flute-to-diameter ratio of 15xD supports drilling to a maximum depth of 34 mm, making it appropriate for through-holes and moderately deep blind bores in production environments. Machinists, toolroom operators, and CNC programmers working in aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking will find this geometry well suited to their operations.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and precision drilling equipment capable of supplying through-spindle coolant. Rated for primary workpiece materials including cast iron, stainless steel, and steel, with secondary compatibility for aluminum and titanium alloys.
Installation and use of this drill should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators familiar with carbide tooling setup procedures. Before mounting, confirm spindle runout is within acceptable limits, as carbide micro drills are sensitive to lateral loading. Use a precision collet or hydraulic chuck appropriate for the 4 mm straight-cylindrical shank diameter. Ensure through-spindle coolant pressure and flow rate are set according to the machining center manufacturer specifications before initiating the cut.
