The GUHRING 9064120015900 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding machining applications. Built to Series 6412 specifications, it features a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) diameter, a 135-degree faceted point angle, and a TiAlN coating that extends tool life when cutting hard and abrasive materials. The through-coolant design channels cutting fluid directly to the tip, reducing heat buildup and chip evacuation issues during deep-hole operations. The shank is straight-cylindrical with an h7 diameter tolerance, and the web is thinned to reduce entry force and improve centering accuracy. This bit is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and drill presses.
This drill bit is suited for use in ferrous and non-ferrous machining environments including job shops, production facilities, and maintenance-repair-overhaul operations. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, stainless steel, and steel. Secondary workpiece materials include aluminum and titanium alloy. The 15xD flute-by-diameter ratio and 27.41 mm maximum drilling depth make it appropriate for deep micro-hole applications where chip clearance and coolant delivery are critical. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation on CNC and manual drill equipment.
Designed as an OEM-specification replacement and production micro drill bit for CNC machining centers and drill presses requiring a 1/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank tool with through-coolant capability.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. The straight-cylindrical shank requires a precision collet or chuck rated for the 4 mm shank diameter. Verify coolant system pressure is compatible with the through-coolant path before operation to prevent blockage or insufficient flow at the cutting tip.
