The GUHRING 9064050026500 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built from K40-grade solid carbide and coated with TiAlN for heat and wear resistance, this drill bit handles tough workpiece materials at tight tolerances. It features a 140-degree faceted point angle with web thinning for accurate entry and reduced thrust. The through-coolant design channels fluid directly to the cutting edge, supporting tool life and chip evacuation during deep-hole work. At 66 mm overall length with a 21 mm flute length, it is suited for CNC machining centers and precision drilling operations requiring consistent micro-hole geometry.
This drill bit is engineered for use in ferrous and high-strength materials including cast iron, stainless steel, and steel, with secondary capability in aluminum and titanium alloys. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and right-hand spiral flute geometry make it appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole drilling in production machining environments. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 4 mm shank diameter seats directly into standard collet chucks and tool holders used on CNC machining centers and drill presses equipped for micro tooling.

Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine in a full stop and locked-out state per applicable machine guarding and lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully in the collet or chuck and verify runout before engaging the spindle. Through-coolant supply pressure and flow rate should be set according to the machine tool manufacturer specifications for the workpiece material and drill diameter. Micro carbide tooling is brittle - avoid side loads, interrupted cuts without appropriate feed reduction, and contact with hard fixturing surfaces during handling.
