The GUHRING 9064000023800 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in ferrous metals and hard alloys. Built to Series 6400 specifications, it features a 3/32-inch (0.0938-inch decimal) diameter with a 140-degree faceted point angle and a web-thinned tip geometry for reduced thrust and cleaner entry. The Super-A TiAlN coating provides heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding applications. With an overall length of 59 millimeters and a 2-flute spiral design, this bit is suited for machinists, tool and die professionals, and fabrication shops requiring tight-tolerance holes in difficult materials.
This drill bit is built for production and maintenance drilling in cast iron, stainless steel, and carbon steel workpieces. The 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral flute type support efficient chip evacuation in these materials. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 4.00-millimeter shank diameter fits standard drill chucks and collet holders. Maximum drilling depth is 10.83 millimeters (0.426 inches). It is appropriate for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld power tools used in precision metalworking environments.
Designed for drilling cast iron, stainless steel, and steel workpieces. Fits standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 4.00-millimeter straight-cylindrical shank. Part of the GUHRING Series 6400 solid carbide drill line.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide cutting tools. Ensure the drill chuck or collet is clean and properly tightened before use, and confirm spindle runout is within acceptable limits to avoid premature tool breakage. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be used in conditions with interrupted cuts or excessive vibration without verifying suitability. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit, so appropriate surface-applied coolant or cutting fluid should be used where required by the workpiece material.
