The GUHRING 9057440087300 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in difficult-to-machine materials. It features a 140-degree split-point (SU) geometry that is self-centering, eliminating the need for a center punch in most setups. The nano-A coating reduces friction and extends tool life in abrasive and hard alloy applications. At 0.3438 inches in diameter with an overall length of 103.00 mm and a right-hand spiral flute, this drill is built for precision work in production and job-shop environments. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals.
This drill bit is rated for primary use in titanium alloy (material code M and S), making it well suited for aerospace, medical, and high-strength structural fabrication work. The coolant-through design supports internal coolant delivery to the cutting zone, which is critical when drilling titanium and similar heat-sensitive materials at depth. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio provides adequate chip evacuation across the 47.91 mm maximum drilling depth. It fits standard straight-cylindrical toolholders with a 10.00 mm shank diameter, making it compatible with common ER collet and hydraulic chuck systems used in CNC machining centers and drill presses.
Designed for use with straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 10.00 mm shank diameter, including ER collet chucks and hydraulic chucks on CNC machining centers and drill presses. Rated for titanium alloy and other hard or abrasive workpiece materials in the M and S material group classifications per DIN designation.
Installation and operation of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with carbide tooling and CNC or manual drilling equipment. Ensure the toolholder is clean, undamaged, and torqued to the equipment manufacturer specification before use. Coolant-through capability requires a compatible spindle and toolholder with internal coolant passages. Carbide is brittle compared to HSS tooling and should not be used in setups with significant runout, loose fixturing, or interrupted cuts without verifying suitability first.
