The GUHRING 9055250070000 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit in the Series 5525 lineup, designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. With a 0.2756-inch (7.00 mm) diameter and a 140-degree drill point angle, it delivers precise, self-centering entry without a center punch. The FIREX coating provides thermal and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive materials. Coolant-through capability allows internal cutting fluid delivery directly to the cutting zone, reducing heat buildup and chip evacuation issues during deep-hole operations. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust force at the point, making it well suited for production drilling environments where cycle time and hole quality both matter.
This bit is rated as a high-performance tool with a flute-to-diameter ratio of 12xD, supporting maximum drilling depths up to 3.839 inches (97.50 mm). Primary workpiece materials are cast iron and steel (ISO material codes K and P). Secondary applications include aluminum and titanium alloys (ISO codes H, M, N, and S). The straight-cylindrical shank with a 0.3150-inch shank diameter fits standard drill chucks and collet holders used in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and production lathes. It is appropriate for machine shops, maintenance technicians, and industrial fabricators working in metal removal applications.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar machine tool setups capable of accepting a 0.3150-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron and steel; secondary materials include aluminum and titanium alloy per the manufacturer specification. Conforms to DIN 6537 standards.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide cutting tool handling. Secure the shank fully in a properly sized collet or chuck before operation, and verify that the machine spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and bit diameter. Carbide tooling is brittle and susceptible to chipping from lateral shock or improper fixturing — avoid side-loading and do not use in hand-held drill applications. Confirm coolant-through compatibility with your machine spindle before use if internal coolant delivery is required.
