The GUHRING 9055250052000 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial and machining environments. Built to DIN 6537 standards, this bit features a 5.2 mm diameter with an h7 tolerance shank, a 140-degree RT100 U point, and a FIREX coating for extended tool life and heat resistance. The spiral flute geometry and web-thinned point promote chip evacuation and self-centering entry. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 12xD and coolant-through capability, this drill handles deep-hole applications where standard-length tooling falls short. It is suited for machinists and tool-room technicians working with automated CNC equipment or manual drilling setups requiring consistent hole quality.
This drill bit is intended for right-hand cutting in metalworking applications across production and job-shop environments. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron and steel (ISO material codes K and P). Secondary applications extend to aluminum, titanium alloy, and other materials under ISO codes H, M, N, and S. The facet point grinding and self-centering geometry make it well-suited for precise hole entry without a center punch on prepared surfaces. The straight-cylindrical shank seats in standard collet chucks or drill chucks commonly used in CNC machining centers and drill presses.
Designed for use in standard straight-cylindrical collet chucks and drill chucks accepting a 6 mm shank diameter. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron and steel; secondary materials include aluminum and titanium alloy.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with CNC or manual drilling equipment. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is properly torqued before beginning any setup. Confirm coolant-through lines are active and flow is unobstructed before drilling deep holes to prevent chip packing and tool breakage. Follow the machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when setting speeds and feeds for carbide tooling.
