The GUHRING 9055250034000 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built to Series 5525 standards and finished with FIREX coating, this bit delivers extended tool life and thermal resistance in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 3.40 mm (0.1339 inch) diameter bit features a 140-degree drill point angle with a standard point type, spiral flutes, and a web-thinned tapered web configuration that promotes self-centering and reduces entry force. Overall length is 90.00 mm with a 50.00 mm flute length and a 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio. Coolant-through capability is included. This bit is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in precision drilling environments.
This drill bit is suited for drilling cast iron and steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary compatibility in aluminum and titanium alloys. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 6.00 mm in diameter with a 36.00 mm shank length, making it compatible with standard collet and chuck toolholding systems. Maximum recommended drilling depth is 43.00 mm. Right-hand cutting direction supports conventional CNC and manual spindle configurations. Typical applications include facet point grinding and self-centering entry in tight-tolerance bores across production machining, tool and die, and aerospace component work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-fit extra length drill bit for standard straight-cylindrical collet and chuck toolholding systems accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before inserting or removing the bit from the toolholder. Verify collet or chuck runout is within tolerance before operation, as excess runout accelerates wear on small-diameter carbide tooling. Follow shop safety protocols and applicable OSHA machine guarding requirements when operating drilling equipment.
