The GUHRING 9055250032000 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built to Series 5525 specifications, it features a 3.2 mm diameter, a 140-degree drill point angle, and a FIREX coating that extends tool life in demanding applications. The submicron carbide grade provides superior hardness and edge retention compared to standard carbide grades. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and thermal management during deep-hole drilling. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and industrial trade professionals use this bit where precision and tool longevity are critical.
This drill bit is suited for drilling cast iron and steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability in aluminum and titanium alloys. The 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 50 mm flute length make it appropriate for extended-reach drilling scenarios where a standard-length bit cannot reach the bore. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet holders with a 6 mm shank diameter, and the right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes consistent chip removal in production and maintenance environments alike.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron and steel (ISO material codes K and P). Secondary workpiece materials include aluminum and titanium alloys (ISO codes H, M, N, and S). Conforms to DIN 6537 standards.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck or collet are clean and properly torqued before seating the shank. When using the coolant-through feature, verify that coolant supply pressure and flow rate match the machine tool specifications before starting the cut. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 43 mm per the Series 5525 design parameters, and always allow the bit to reach full RPM before contact with the workpiece to prevent chipping the carbide tip.
