The GUHRING 9055250030000 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metalworking applications. Part of the Series 5525, it features a 3.00 mm (0.1181 inch) cutting diameter, a 140-degree split point, and an overall length of 90.00 mm (3.54 inches). The FIREX coating provides heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in high-cycle production environments. A web-thinned, tapered web design improves chip evacuation and reduces thrust at entry. Coolant-through construction delivers cutting fluid directly to the tip, supporting deeper holes and tighter tolerances. Licensed HVAC techs, machinists, and toolroom professionals working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials will find this bit suited to precision, tight-tolerance work.
This drill bit is rated for primary use in cast iron and steel (ISO material codes K and P). Secondary workpiece materials include aluminum and titanium alloy (ISO codes H, M, N, and S). The 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 44.00 mm (1.73 inches) make it well suited for deep-hole applications in production machining, mold work, and fixture fabrication. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 6.00 mm (0.24 inch) diameter fits standard drill chucks and collet holders used in CNC machining centers and conventional drill presses.
Designed as a high-performance OEM-style tooling solution for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle setups using standard straight-cylindrical collet or chuck toolholders accepting a 6.00 mm shank. Conforms to DIN 6537 standards.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and within specified runout tolerance before seating the shank, as carbide is brittle and sensitive to lateral loading from excessive runout. Verify coolant-through passages are clear and pressure is set appropriately for the machine before starting a cut. Do not use this bit for interrupted cuts or hammer-drill applications.
