The GUHRING 9055230045700 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding trade and industrial applications. Built to DIN 338 standards, this bit carries an M35 cobalt material grade, a 118-degree four facet split point, and a bright uncoated finish. The split point geometry reduces walking and requires no center punch on most surfaces. With an overall length of 80.00 mm and a flute length of 47.00 mm, it handles drilling depths up to 40.15 mm. It is intended for installation by machinists, maintenance technicians, and trade professionals working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This drill bit is sized at wire gauge 15, which corresponds to 0.1800 inches in decimal. It is well suited for drilling aluminum, mild steel, stainless, and other materials classified under workpiece material codes K, M, N, and P. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 4.57 mm diameter seats cleanly in standard drill chucks and collet holders. The regular spiral and 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio support efficient chip evacuation in both handheld and machine drilling setups. This bit works in bench drills, drill presses, and CNC machining centers where a short, rigid jobber-length tool is preferred.
Designed as a DIN 338 jobber length replacement drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 4.57 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for drilling aluminum, mild steel, stainless steel, and other materials under workpiece codes K, M, N, and P.
Installation is performed by machinists, maintenance technicians, and trade professionals using a drill press, bench drill, or CNC spindle. Secure the shank fully in a properly sized chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before drilling. Apply a suitable cutting fluid when drilling stainless or harder alloys to manage heat at the cutting edge. Always power down and de-energize the machine before changing drill bits.
