The GUHRING 9055190107200 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit designed for demanding metal drilling applications. Built to DIN 338 standards, this Series 5519 bit features an M35 cobalt steel construction with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating that extends cutting life and reduces friction at the cutting edge. The 27/64 inch (0.4219 inch decimal) diameter bit runs a four-facet split point at 118 degrees, promoting accurate self-centering and reducing the need for a center punch. A web-thinned, tapered web configuration further reduces thrust load during entry. Licensed HVAC techs, machinists, and metal fabricators will recognize this as a production-grade tool suited for repetitive drilling in challenging materials.
This bit is rated for primary workpiece materials including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and cast iron, reflected in its material codes K, M, N, and P. The 142 mm overall length with a 94 mm flute length provides ample reach for standard jobber applications in sheet metal, structural steel, and non-ferrous metals. The regular spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation. The straight-cylindrical shank at 10.72 mm (27/64 inch) fits standard drill chucks without adapters. Maximum drilling depth is 3.068 inches (77.92 mm), making it practical for through-hole and moderate-depth applications across a wide range of trade and industrial settings.
Designed as an OEM-grade replacement or direct-use drill bit compatible with standard drill chucks accepting a 27/64 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suited for drilling aluminum, steel, stainless, and cast iron workpieces per material codes K, M, N, and P.
Install in a properly rated drill press, magnetic drill, or hand drill with a chuck rated for the 27/64 inch shank diameter. Secure the shank fully in the chuck jaws and confirm runout before drilling. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for steel and stainless steel applications to manage heat buildup, as this bit does not have coolant-through capability. Follow applicable shop safety standards and wear eye protection whenever operating rotary cutting tools.
