The GUHRING 9055190065300 is a cobalt steel jobber-length drill bit sized to letter F (0.2570 inches) and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating. Built to DIN 338 standards in M35 cobalt material grade, it delivers the heat resistance and edge retention that high-cycle production drilling demands. The four-facet split point geometry reduces walking on entry and lowers thrust force. A tapered, web-thinned core and regular spiral fluting clear chips efficiently. Licensed HVAC technicians, machinists, pipefitters, and maintenance electricians reach for this bit when drilling through aluminum, mild steel, and similar materials where standard HSS bits wear prematurely.
This bit is suited for general production and maintenance drilling in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings. Typical applications include drilling pilot and clearance holes in sheet metal, HVAC equipment panels, conduit bodies, pipe flanges, and structural aluminum. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard three-jaw chucks on corded drills, drill presses, and CNC machining centers without an adapter. Maximum drilling depth is 2.095 inches (53.21 mm), making it appropriate for through-hole work in material up to that thickness. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports adequate chip evacuation at normal feed rates without coolant-through capability.
Designed for use in standard three-jaw drill chucks accepting a 6.53 mm straight shank. Primary workpiece material codes K, M, N, and P cover aluminum, general non-ferrous metals, mild steel, and cast materials as designated in the supplier specifications.
Installation is performed by machinists, maintenance technicians, or trade professionals using a standard drill press, hand drill, or CNC spindle. Secure the shank fully in the chuck and verify runout before drilling. Power down and de-energize any equipment being drilled before beginning work. TiN-coated bits should not be reground without removing the coating first, as regrinding through the coating can compromise edge geometry.
