The GUHRING 9055190038000 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit sized to wire gauge 25 (0.1496 inches), designed for demanding metalworking and general-purpose drilling applications. Built to DIN 338 standards, this bit features a TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating over an M35 cobalt steel substrate, delivering extended tool life in tough materials. It runs a 118-degree four-facet split-point geometry, which improves self-centering and reduces walking on entry. Right-hand spiral flutes with a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio clear chips efficiently during through-hole operations. This is a shop-floor tool used by machinists, maintenance techs, and fabricators working with moderate-to-difficult workpiece materials.
This bit is rated for primary workpiece material codes K, M, N, and P, covering aluminum, non-ferrous metals, cast iron, and steel. At 75 mm overall length with a 43 mm flute length and 32 mm straight-cylindrical shank, it fits standard drill chucks across benchtop drill presses, CNC machining centers, and handheld power tools. Maximum drilling depth is 37.30 mm (1.469 inches). The web-thinned, tapered-web configuration reduces thrust force requirements on entry, making it practical in production drilling of aluminum and mild steel in both fabrication shops and maintenance environments.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 3.80 mm (0.1496 inch) straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for drilling aluminum, non-ferrous metals, cast iron, and steel workpieces per material codes K, M, N, and P.
Install in a properly sized drill chuck and verify secure clamping before operation. Secure the workpiece with appropriate fixturing to prevent movement during drilling. Ensure the drilling machine is fully stopped before changing or inspecting the bit. Follow shop safety protocols and applicable OSHA machine guarding requirements when operating drill presses or handheld power tools.
