The GUHRING 9055190034500 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in metalworking and fabrication applications. Built to DIN 338 standards, this Series 5519 bit features a M35 cobalt steel construction with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating for extended tool life and heat resistance. The bit measures 0.136 inches in diameter (wire gauge No. 29) with a four-facet split point at 118 degrees, promoting accurate starting and reduced thrust. With a 70 mm overall length and a regular spiral flute design, it delivers consistent chip evacuation in a compact, standard jobber profile. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades as well as metal fabricators routinely rely on this format for general-purpose metal drilling.
This drill bit is suited for use in aluminum, mild steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces, corresponding to material codes K, M, N, and P per DIN classification. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 3.45 mm diameter fits standard keyed and keyless chucks on benchtop drill presses, handheld drills, and CNC machining centers. The 39 mm flute length provides adequate chip clearance for holes up to 33.83 mm deep, making it appropriate for through-hole and moderate blind-hole work in light to medium production environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard jobber drill bit compatible with any drill press, handheld drill, or CNC spindle accepting a 3.45 mm straight-cylindrical shank, for use on aluminum, mild steel, stainless, and cast iron per DIN 338 material group classifications K, M, N, and P.
This bit is installed and replaced by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and trade professionals performing metal drilling tasks. Secure the shank fully in the chuck before operation and confirm chuck key removal prior to powering the drill. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the workpiece material to preserve coating integrity, noting that this bit does not support coolant-through delivery. Inspect the cutting edges and TiN coating for wear before each use and replace when chipping or dulling is observed to maintain hole tolerance.
