The GUHRING 9055190032000 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, designed for high-performance drilling in metalworking and fabrication applications. Built to DIN 338 standards from M35 cobalt steel, it measures 3.2 mm in diameter with a 65 mm overall length and a 36 mm flute length. The 118-degree four-facet split point reduces walking and thrust load at entry, while the web-thinned, tapered web configuration improves chip evacuation. Licensed HVAC fabricators, pipefitters, electricians, and general tradespeople who drill through ferrous and non-ferrous metals will find this bit sized for tight-tolerance work.
This bit is well suited for drilling aluminum, steel, stainless, and a range of non-ferrous materials in both shop and field settings. Its right-hand spiral flute geometry supports regular helix cutting action, making it appropriate for use in drill presses, hand drills, and CNC equipment. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 3.2 mm in diameter, compatible with standard drill chucks. Maximum drilling depth is 31.2 mm. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports deep-hole drilling relative to bit size without sacrificing rigidity.
Designed for use with standard drill chucks accepting a 3.2 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for primary workpiece material codes K, M, N, and P per DIN classification, covering aluminum, non-ferrous metals, steel, and stainless steel. No coolant-through capability; external coolant or cutting fluid is recommended for extended runs.
This bit is installed and used by machinists, fabricators, pipefitters, and electricians working with metal substrates. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in the chuck before operation and verify chuck runout is within acceptable tolerance to protect the cutting edge. When drilling ferrous metals, apply appropriate cutting fluid to manage heat buildup. Inspect the cutting edge for wear before each use and replace the bit if chipping or rounding is observed, as cobalt bits used past service life can damage workpieces.
