The GUHRING 9055190025800 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in metalworking applications. Built to DIN 338 standards and coated with Titanium Nitride (TiN), this bit delivers extended tool life and reduced friction in demanding materials. It measures 57 mm overall length with a 0.1015 inch (wire size 38) cutting diameter and features a four-facet split point for precise starts without center punching. The M35 cobalt steel construction handles elevated cutting temperatures that would degrade standard high-speed steel tooling. Licensed machinists, maintenance technicians, and production drillers use this bit for reliable performance on repeat operations.
This drill bit is suited for drilling aluminum, steel, stainless, and cast iron workpiece materials, reflected in its K, M, N, and P material group ratings. The spiral flute design with a regular helix efficiently clears chips from the cut zone. With a maximum drilling depth of 26.13 mm and a flute-to-diameter ratio of 5xD, this bit is appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole applications in production and maintenance settings. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 2.58 mm diameter seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders.
Designed as an OEM-standard jobber length drill bit compatible with any drill chuck or collet holder accepting a 2.58 mm straight-cylindrical shank, suitable for benchtop drill presses, CNC machining centers, and handheld power drills used in metalworking operations.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with rotary cutting tools. Secure the shank fully in a properly sized chuck or collet before operating and verify runout is within acceptable limits. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable machine guarding requirements when operating drill presses or CNC equipment. Do not use on materials outside the rated workpiece material groups, as this can cause premature coating failure or chipping of the cutting edge.
