The GUHRING 9055150106000 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. Built to DIN 6537L specification, it features a 140-degree split point (SU point type) with web thinning for fast, accurate starts and reduced thrust. The FIREX coating provides thermal and wear resistance, extending tool life in hard or abrasive materials. At 10.6 mm in diameter with a 12 mm straight-cylindrical shank, this bit suits tool holders and chucks sized for that shank. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators handling precision hole work are the primary users of this tool.
This drill bit is suited for machining operations requiring tight diameter tolerances, particularly in ferrous metals, alloy steels, and similar hard materials where a coated carbide tool is specified. The regular spiral flute geometry and 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio support chip evacuation in moderate-depth holes. With a maximum drilling depth of 68 mm and an overall length of 118 mm, it fits standard machining center setups and manual drill press operations. It does not include through-coolant capability, so external coolant or mist lubrication should be applied at the cutting zone.
Designed as a DIN 6537L-compliant jobber length drill bit suitable for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines equipped with tool holders or chucks accepting a 12 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with cutting tool setup and machine operation. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the bit from the tool holder. Verify chuck or collet runout is within acceptable limits before drilling, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a carbide tool. Because this bit does not support through-coolant, apply adequate external coolant or cutting fluid to maintain tool life and workpiece quality.
