The GUHRING 9055150067000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. It measures 6.7 mm in diameter (0.2638 inches) with an overall length of 91 mm (3.58 inches) and a flute length of 53 mm (2.09 inches). The bit features a FIREX coating for enhanced heat and wear resistance, a 140-degree split point (SU point type) for accurate self-centering entry, and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust force. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide, it is suited for machinists and toolroom professionals running CNC machining centers or drill presses at elevated speeds and feeds.
This drill bit is designed for high-speed production drilling in materials that demand tight tolerances and superior tool life. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 49 mm (1.93 inches) maximum drilling depth make it well suited for through-holes and blind holes in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials. The straight-cylindrical shank with an 8 mm diameter seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. It follows DIN 6537L specification, making it a direct fit for tooling setups that conform to DIN standards.
Designed as a jobber-length carbide drill bit conforming to DIN 6537L, compatible with standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting an 8 mm straight-cylindrical shank across CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar machine tool setups.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Ensure the 8 mm shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the collet or chuck before operation. Do not exceed the recommended maximum drilling depth of 49 mm (1.93 inches) per the tool geometry. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant as required by the workpiece material to maintain tool life and surface finish quality.
