The GUHRING 9055150038000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in ferrous materials. Built to Series 5515 and manufactured to DIN 6537L standards, it carries a FIREX coating that extends tool life in demanding applications. The bit measures 3.80 mm (0.1495 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 74.00 mm and a flute length of 36.00 mm. The 140-degree split point (SU type) is self-centering, reducing the need for a center punch on flat and curved surfaces. Two spiral flutes in a regular helix promote chip evacuation in cast iron and steel. This is a professional-grade cutting tool installed by machinists and tool-and-die technicians in production and maintenance environments.
This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron and steel workpieces, corresponding to material codes K and P. Its 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 30.30 mm maximum drilling depth make it well suited for through-hole and blind-hole operations in both CNC machining centers and manual drill presses. The straight-cylindrical shank, 6.00 mm in diameter, fits standard drill chucks and collet holders without modification. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust force at entry, which is especially useful in production drilling where cycle time and tool wear matter.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-application drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 6.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for cast iron and steel workpieces per material codes K and P.
This bit is installed by machinists and maintenance technicians using standard drill chucks or collet holders on CNC machining centers or manual drill presses. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the workpiece is securely fixtured before chuck engagement. Use cutting fluid or coolant appropriate for the workpiece material to manage heat, even though this bit does not feature through-coolant capability. Inspect the cutting edges and FIREX coating for wear or chipping before each use, as carbide tools can fracture if run with damaged geometry.
