The GUHRING 9055150035700 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. Built to DIN 6537L standards, it features a 140-degree split-point (SU) tip geometry that enables self-centering entry without a center punch, reducing setup steps on tight-tolerance work. The FIREX multi-layer coating adds thermal resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life when running at elevated speeds in ferrous materials. With a web-thinned, tapered web design and a regular spiral flute, the bit evacuates chips efficiently throughout a maximum drilling depth of 22.65 mm. It is sized at 9/64 inch (0.1405 decimal inch, wire size No. 28) and is sold individually.
This drill bit is suited for machining cast iron and steel in CNC drilling centers, drill presses, and manual machine tools where precision hole quality and tool longevity are priorities. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 6 mm diameter and 36 mm shank length seats securely in standard collet chucks and drill chucks. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio makes it appropriate for moderately deep holes without coolant-through capability. Typical users include machinists, tool-and-die shops, and maintenance technicians working with ferrous workpieces.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist following machine manufacturer lockout and de-energization procedures before accessing the spindle. Secure the shank fully within the collet or chuck to the specified engagement depth to prevent slippage under cutting load. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for solid carbide tooling in the target material before engaging the cut. This bit does not support coolant-through delivery; use external coolant or cutting fluid as required by the workpiece material and application.
