The GUHRING 9055140089000 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. Built to DIN 6537K standards, it features a 0.3504-inch diameter, a 140-degree split point (SU point type), and a web-thinned, parallel web configuration that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 10.00 millimeters in diameter, and the bit runs in a right-hand cutting direction with a regular spiral flute. Solid carbide construction with a coated finish provides the hardness and wear resistance required for consistent performance in ferrous and cast iron applications. It is sized for use with standard screw machine tooling setups.
This drill bit is intended for precision machining of cast iron and steel workpieces in screw machine, CNC, and production drilling applications. The screw machine length format makes it well-suited for close-clearance setups where a standard jobber-length bit would be impractical. The 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 1.3250 inches support controlled, repeatable hole production in short-run and high-cycle shop environments. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with tight tolerances will find the diameter tolerance of plus 0.006 to plus 0.021 millimeters appropriate for precision bore work.
Designed as a Series 5514 screw machine length drill for use in cast iron and steel applications. Compatible with standard straight-cylindrical shank tool holders accepting a 10.00-millimeter shank diameter.
This drill bit is installed and operated by qualified machinists using compatible tool holders in drill presses, CNC machining centers, or screw machines. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a collet or drill chuck rated for the shank diameter before operation. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the bit. No coolant-through capability is present on this tool, so appropriate external coolant or cutting fluid application is recommended when drilling steel at production cycle rates.
