The GUHRING 9055120090000 is a solid carbide taper length drill bit engineered for demanding material removal in professional machining and fabrication environments. Built to DIN 6537 standards, this bit features a 140-degree split point (SU type) with web thinning for self-centering entry and reduced thrust. The 9.00 mm (0.3543 inch) diameter cutting edge runs through a 7xD spiral flute geometry, producing clean, consistent holes across a broad range of difficult-to-machine materials. Its coated finish extends cutting life in abrasive and high-temperature applications. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators will find this drill well suited for production and precision work.
This drill bit is designed for right-hand cutting in materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, hardened materials, brass, nickel alloy, and titanium alloy. The straight shank fits standard drill chucks and collet-style toolholders without modification. With a maximum drilling depth of 73.50 mm (2.894 inches) and a flute-to-diameter ratio of 7xD, it handles taper-length applications where a jobber-length bit would lack rigidity. The coolant-through design channels fluid directly to the cutting zone, making it compatible with CNC machining centers equipped with through-spindle coolant systems.
Designed as an OEM-specification replacement and production drill bit for use in standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet toolholders. Compatible with materials including brass, cast iron, hardened materials, nickel alloy, stainless steel, steel, and titanium alloy per Series 5512 application data.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators familiar with carbide tooling requirements. Secure the straight shank fully in a precision drill chuck or collet holder before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance to avoid premature edge chipping. Enable through-spindle coolant when available to maximize tool life and chip evacuation. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid side loads, interrupted cuts at high feed rates, or re-chucking in worn or damaged holders.
