The GUHRING 9055120042000 is a solid carbide taper length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It features a 140-degree SU point angle with web thinning for self-centering entry and reduced thrust. The 4.20 mm (0.1654 inch) diameter cutting edge is ground with a spiral flute in a right-hand cutting direction. A 6.00 mm straight shank and 7xD flute-to-diameter ratio make this bit suited for deep-hole work in difficult-to-machine alloys. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and heat management at depth. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die shops, and production drilling operations are the primary users of this tooling.
This drill bit is built for production and precision drilling into hard and abrasive workpiece materials including stainless steel, hardened materials, nickel alloy, titanium alloy, cast iron, brass, and steel. The Series 5512 design conforms to DIN 6537 standards, making it compatible with standard toolholding setups that accept straight-shank tooling in the 6.00 mm shank diameter range. It is appropriate for CNC machining centers and manual drilling operations where coolant-through toolholding is available. The coated submicron carbide grade extends tool life in interrupted cuts and abrasive stock.
