The GUHRING 9055110146800 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. It features a 37/64 inch (0.5780 inch decimal) diameter with a 140-degree split point (SU type) and a FIREX coating that extends tool life in abrasive and hard materials. Coolant-through capability allows internal coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone, reducing heat and improving chip evacuation in deep-hole applications. The web-thinned point reduces thrust requirements at entry. This bit is intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals running CNC or manual drilling operations.
This drill is suited for production drilling in materials including hardened steels, stainless, and other difficult-to-machine alloys where a standard HSS bit would wear prematurely. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral geometry make it appropriate for general jobber-length applications requiring tight tolerances. Its 16.00 mm shank diameter accommodates standard toolholders in both CNC machining centers and drill presses equipped for that shank size. The DIN specification designation confirms dimensional compliance with recognized European tooling standards.
Designed as a high-performance OEM-style jobber drill compatible with standard toolholders accepting a 16.00 mm shank diameter, conforming to DIN specification dimensions.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist. Secure the shank fully in a compatible chuck or collet toolholder before operation, and verify runout is within acceptable limits before cutting. When using the coolant-through feature, confirm the machine spindle and toolholder are rated to deliver coolant internally at the required pressure. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide tools can fail suddenly if operated with damaged geometry.
