The GUHRING 9055110119000 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding production and machining environments. Built to DIN 6537L specification, it features a 140-degree split point with SU geometry and web thinning for fast, accurate entry with reduced thrust. The FIREX coating provides heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and hard materials. With a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and coolant-through capability, this bit is suited for deep-hole work where chip evacuation and thermal control are critical. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators install this bit in drill presses, machining centers, and multi-spindle setups.
This drill bit is designed for high-tolerance production drilling in materials such as alloy steels, cast iron, and hardened workpieces where standard HSS tooling underperforms. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in standard drill chucks and collet holders. With a maximum drilling depth of 63 mm and a submicron carbide grade, it suits precision shops running tight tolerances and high-volume cycles. Internal coolant delivery keeps cutting edges cool and assists chip clearing at depth, reducing the need for peck cycles in many applications.
Designed as a DIN 6537L jobber length carbide drill bit suitable for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle machines equipped with standard straight-shank toolholding or ER collet systems accepting a 12 mm shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine fully powered down and spindle locked. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into the collet or chuck before tightening to ensure concentricity and avoid runout. Coolant-through setups require proper connection of internal coolant supply lines before initiating the drilling cycle. Follow your machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when handling carbide tooling, as carbide edges are brittle and can chip if dropped or impacted.
