The GUHRING 9055110067000 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. Built to Series 5511 and conforming to DIN 6537 L and DIN 6535 standards, this bit features a 140-degree split point with SU point geometry and web thinning for self-centering entry without a pilot hole. The submicron carbide grade substrate is finished with a FIREX coating to extend tool life in abrasive materials. Overall length is 3.58 inches with a flute length of 2.09 inches. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.315 inches in diameter. Machining professionals and toolroom technicians are the primary users.
This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron and steel workpieces, covering material codes K and P. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral flute design support efficient chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole applications. Coolant-through capability makes this bit well suited for high-speed machining centers and CNC drilling operations where internal coolant delivery is available. Maximum drilling depth is 1.69 inches (42.95 mm). It is appropriate for both job shop and production floor use where tight diameter tolerances are required.
Designed for use in cast iron and steel workpieces (material codes K and P) on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and other equipment capable of accepting a straight-cylindrical shank per DIN 6535.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel with the machine in a full stop and lockout state per applicable shop safety procedures. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully and concentrically in a collet or drill chuck rated for the shank diameter before tightening. When using the coolant-through feature, verify that internal coolant pressure and flow rate are within the machine spindle specifications before running. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for wear or chipping before each use and replace the bit if damage is observed.
