The GUHRING 9055110038000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in ferrous materials. Built to DIN 6537L standards, it carries a FIREX coating for extended tool life and reduced heat buildup in demanding applications. The bit measures 0.1495 inches (3.80 mm) in diameter with an overall length of 74.00 mm and a flute length of 36.00 mm. The 140-degree split point (SU type) with web thinning and tapered web configuration allows self-centering entry without a center punch, reducing setup time. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals, this bit suits both manual and CNC drilling operations where precision and repeatability are required.
This drill bit is rated for primary workpiece materials including cast iron and steel, corresponding to material codes K and P. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral flute geometry support chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole drilling applications. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.2362 inches in diameter and is compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders. Coolant-through capability makes it suitable for deep-hole work where heat management is critical, with a maximum drilling depth of 30.30 mm (1.193 inches).
Designed for use with cast iron and steel workpieces (material codes K and P) in applications requiring a No. 25 wire gauge or 3.80 mm diameter hole. The straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 0.2362-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling professionals familiar with CNC or manual drilling equipment. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the bit. Ensure coolant lines are connected and flowing before drilling when using the coolant-through capability, particularly for deep-hole applications. Inspect the cutting edge for wear or chipping before each use and replace the bit if damage is observed to prevent workpiece damage or tool failure.
