The GUHRING 9055100071400 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. Built to DIN 6537 K standards, this Series 5510 bit features a 140-degree split point (SU point type) with web thinning for reduced thrust and cleaner entry. The 9/32 inch (0.2812 inch) diameter bit runs a right-hand spiral flute with coolant-through capability, making it well suited for CNC machining centers and production drilling where heat and chip evacuation are critical. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and CNC operators install and use this tool.
This drill bit is engineered for primary use in cast iron and steel workpieces. The screw machine length format — shorter overall length than jobber bits — provides increased rigidity and reduced deflection in tight setups and short-stroke applications. The straight-cylindrical shank with an 8.00 mm shank diameter fits standard precision drill chucks and collet systems. A 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio and parallel web configuration support consistent chip flow at the maximum drilling depth of 38.00 mm. The coated carbide substrate handles the heat and abrasion loads common in ferrous metal production runs.
Designed for use in cast iron and steel workpieces. Fits standard precision drill chucks and collet holders accepting an 8.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and production drilling fixtures where screw machine length tooling is specified.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine fully powered down and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into the chuck or collet and torque the holder to the machine manufacturer's specification. Verify coolant-through passages are clear and that the coolant supply is active before beginning a drilling cycle. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each run, as carbide tools can fail suddenly if operated beyond their service condition.
