The GUHRING 9048813041660 is a spiral flute tap designed for blind hole threading in a wide range of metallic materials. It features a 3-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 40-degree helix angle that efficiently evacuates chips out of the hole during tapping operations. Built from cobalt high-speed steel and finished with GUHRING's Ignator coating, this tap handles demanding materials including stainless steel, heat-treated steel, alloy steel, and cast iron. The modified bottoming chamfer allows threading closer to the bottom of a blind hole than a standard plug tap. It is sized for 8-32 UNC threads and carries an H3 thread limit with a 2B/3B class of fit.
