The GUHRING 9042630127000 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Built on the Series 4263 platform with a 45-degree helix angle and FIREX PVD coating (TiAlN/TiN), this five-flute, single-end tool handles both roughing and finishing passes without a tool change. The 0.5-inch cutting diameter and 1.25-inch length of cut make it well suited for shouldering, slotting, ramp-down entry, helical interpolation, drill-mill operations, and plunging and recessing. The Weldon flat shank provides positive drive and minimizes pullout risk under aggressive feed rates.
This end mill is intended for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium as primary workpiece materials, with secondary suitability for non-ferrous metals and hard materials. It fits standard CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with a 0.5-inch collet or Weldon-style holder. Close pitch flute geometry combined with the high-helix design promotes chip evacuation in deep-feature work. It is a centercutting tool, allowing direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Machinists running tight-tolerance aerospace, die-mold, or general metalworking programs will find the h10 mill diameter tolerance and h6 shank tolerance useful for repeatable setups.
Designed for use in 0.5-inch Weldon-style end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Rated for primary workpiece materials P (steel), M (stainless steel), K (cast iron), and S (superalloys and titanium), with secondary ratings for N (non-ferrous metals) and H (hard materials). Material grade K40 solid carbide substrate.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool builder guidelines for Weldon flat holders. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before loading or unloading the tool. Confirm holder set-screw alignment with the Weldon flat to achieve proper seating and prevent axial drift. Verify runout at the tool tip before committing to a production cut.
