The GUHRING 9042550127000 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining environments. With a 0.5 inch diameter, 0.625 inch length of cut, and 3 inches overall length, this single-end tool delivers consistent performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The FIREX coating provides heat and wear resistance, extending tool life under demanding cutting conditions. A variable helix design at 41, 43, and 45 degrees reduces chatter and vibration during high-speed passes. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shop and production settings.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, pockets, profiles, and contours in typical machining center applications. The regular length configuration and 0.5 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard ER and side-lock toolholders used in vertical and horizontal milling setups. The right-hand cut, right-hand spiral flute geometry supports conventional and climb milling strategies. It is a single-end tool, so once the cutting end is worn, the tool is replaced rather than flipped. Machinists working in aerospace, die-mold, and general metalworking will find this geometry well suited to finishing and semi-finishing passes.
Part of the GUHRING Series 4255 end mill family. Designed for use in standard 0.5 inch collet chucks, ER collet systems, and hydraulic or shrink-fit toolholders with a 0.5 inch bore.
Install this end mill in a clean, correctly sized toolholder bore and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification before engaging the spindle. Inspect runout at the cutting diameter with a dial indicator before beginning a production run, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and degrades surface finish. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before any tool change. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and ANSI B11 safe operating guidelines for milling operations.
