The GUHRING 9041300081900 is a helical flute thread mill designed for cutting internal NPT threads in a single helical pass. Built from solid carbide and finished with a TiCN coating, this tool delivers consistent thread geometry and extended tool life in demanding materials. It carries a 1/16-27 NPT thread specification with 27 teeth per inch and a right-hand flute direction. The 0.2130-inch cutting diameter and 0.3900-inch length of cut make it well suited for small-bore internal threading operations. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this mill on CNC machining centers where simultaneous thread size and pitch control is required in a single tool pass.
This thread mill is used in applications requiring precise internal NPT thread forms in small-diameter bores, typical in fluid fitting, instrument, and pneumatic component production. The 0.3120-inch shank diameter fits standard collet and end-mill holders found on vertical and horizontal machining centers. With a 2.2500-inch overall length and a minimum nominal diameter of 0.2460 inches, it is appropriate for shallow-to-moderate depth threading where reach and rigidity are balanced. The three-flute geometry promotes chip evacuation and surface finish consistency throughout the threading pass.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with standard collet or end-mill toolholding systems accepting a 0.3120-inch shank diameter. Suited for internal NPT thread milling per the Series 4130 product line specifications.
Installation and operation of this thread mill should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC programmer familiar with helical interpolation cycles. Confirm spindle speed, feed rate, and helical pitch settings in the CAM or CNC program before cutting — incorrect parameters are the primary cause of thread-form error and tool breakage on small-diameter carbide mills. Ensure the toolholder is clean and the shank is fully seated and torqued to the holder manufacturer specification before running. Always verify thread gauge fit on a test piece before committing to production runs.
