The GUHRING 9041150210000 is a Series 4115 replaceable drill tip designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metalworking applications. Manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a PVD-applied nano-A coating, this tip delivers extended tool life in abrasive and work-hardening materials. The cutting diameter measures 21.00 mm (0.8268 inches), the drill point angle is 140 degrees, and the insert seat size is 210. A two-facet point geometry combined with a web-thinned design reduces entry forces and improves centering accuracy. The tip is held by a clamp and screw method and features a regular helical flute configuration with two flutes.
This replaceable drill tip is suited for machining stainless steel as its primary workpiece material, with additional capability in steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. It is classified under manufacturer grades K and P, making it appropriate for a broad range of ferrous and non-ferrous metal cutting operations. The Series 4115 insert system is used in modular drilling toolholders where the tip is exchanged without removing the drill body from the spindle, reducing downtime in production and job-shop environments. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators working in industrial manufacturing will find this tip applicable to both roughing and precision hole-making tasks.
Designed for use with Series 4115 modular drill bodies accepting insert seat size 210. Compatible primary workpiece material is stainless steel (material code M); secondary compatible materials include steel (P), cast iron (K), superalloys, and titanium (S).
This tip is installed and replaced by a machinist or toolroom technician using the appropriate clamp screw and torx or hex key per the drill body manufacturer specification. Power down or e-stop the machine spindle and verify zero rotation before handling or changing the insert. Inspect the insert seat for wear, chips, or contamination before seating the new tip, as a damaged seat will affect runout and tool life. Follow the drill body manufacturer torque guidance for the clamping screw — do not overtighten.
