The GUHRING 9041080190050 is a replaceable-tip drill body designed for precise hole-making in metal and industrial workpiece materials. Built on the Series 4108 platform, it accepts HT 800 WP insert tips and delivers drilling depths up to 101.1 mm (approximately 3.98 inches) in a 5xD configuration. The 3/4-inch shank diameter (0.750 inches, 19.05 mm) fits standard ER and hydraulic toolholders used in CNC machining centers. Through-coolant capability directs cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge, supporting chip evacuation and tool life in high-feed drilling applications. The tool body is constructed from steel and weighs approximately 0.3 pounds.
This drill body is suited for production drilling operations in horizontal and vertical machining centers where consistent hole diameter and depth are required. The replaceable-tip design eliminates the need to replace the entire drill assembly when the cutting edge wears, reducing tooling cost per hole. The 0.748 to 0.767 inch diameter range reflects the nominal bore size delivered with compatible HT 800 WP insert tips. It is intended for use by machinists and tool crib professionals in job shop, aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking environments.
Compatible with HT 800 WP replaceable insert tips. Toolholder style is 5xD HT 800 WP. Shank diameter is 0.750 inches (19.05 mm), compatible with 3/4-inch ER collet chucks, hydraulic chucks, and shrink-fit holders with matching bore size.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is removed from the spindle before mounting or changing insert tips. Verify insert tip seating and clamping torque per the insert manufacturer's instructions before running the tool. Confirm through-coolant passages are clear and coolant pressure is appropriate for the application before beginning a drilling cycle.
